Kokia Blazehoof
Ruby Life Pools · boss 2 of 3
As Primalist forces assault the Ruby Life Pools from all sides, it falls to Kokia and her Blazebound lieutenants to capture precious eggs from overwhelmed defenders, all while spreading flame and havoc as they go.
Every ritual leaves a Firestorm that taxes the group until it dies. Interrupt its volley, kill it quickly, and mind the burning ground it leaves behind.
An add fight with an interrupt rotation. At full energy Kokia plants a Blazebound Firestorm on somebody, and while it lives it alternates a stacking group-wide Inferno with an interruptible Blaze Volley. Killing it is not free either — Burnout explodes and leaves Scorched Earth on the floor.
What actually kills you
Everything else is noise until these three are handled.
- A missed interrupt. Blaze Volley hits everyone for significant damage and there is no reason for it to land.
- Firestorms overlapping. Inferno stacks, so a second Firestorm arriving while the first is alive is more than twice the damage.
- Killing one somewhere you need to stand. Burnout leaves Scorched Earth exactly where it died, and the arena only has so much floor.
Your job
If you tank
- Searing Blows is many strikes over a few seconds, each adding a Searing Wounds burn. It is a stacking bleed disguised as an autoattack window.
- Keep her away from the Scorched Earth so the group can hold a clean spot for the next ritual.
If you heal
- Inferno stacks for the entire time a Firestorm is alive. The healing cost is a function of how fast the group kills it — that is a damage problem you can point out.
- The Ritual cast itself hurts the targeted player before the add even exists.
If you DPS
- Rotate interrupts on Blaze Volley. Assign the order before the pull; improvising it is how one gets through.
- Burn the Firestorm down together. Split damage means the Inferno stacks keep climbing on everybody.
- Molten Boulder hits hard and knocks you away, and it leaves fire where it lands. Sidestep the path rather than outrunning it.
How the fight goes
| Part | What to do |
|---|---|
| Step 1 | She alternates Molten Boulders at range with Searing Blows on the tank. |
| Step 2 | At full energy, Ritual of Blazebinding plants a Blazebound Firestorm on a player. |
| Step 3 | The Firestorm stacks Inferno and casts Blaze Volley until it dies, then leaves Scorched Earth where it stood. |

Worth a bonus roll?
You cannot roll this boss on its own. A dungeon roll is against the whole instance, so this table is one part of a pool that includes every other boss in Ruby Life Pools — the bonus roll guide explains what that changes, and the planner works it out per spec.
