Merektha

Temple of Sethraliss · boss 2 of 4

Lore

Merektha is the product of foul experiments to produce an army of unstoppable beasts. With her clutch of eggs beginning to hatch, this mother is on the hunt for victims to serve as food for her ravenous children.

In one sentence

Lightning pools go down and never leave. Every second spent not killing snakes is another patch of the room you cannot stand on.

A space-management fight. Almost everything she does — Noxious Breath, the Storm Serpents' Storm Catalyst, Serpentstorm's Storm Strikes — leaves Lingering Storm behind, and the room does not clean itself. Killing the hatched snakes quickly is how you keep floor.

What actually kills you

Everything else is noise until these three are handled.

  • Slow add kills. Each Storm Serpent left alive keeps calling lightning down and adding to the pools.
  • Being in her Burrow path. It knocks you up and stuns you, and Burrowquake is hitting everyone at the same time.
  • A Knot of Snakes left unbroken. It prevents any action from the player it wraps and suffocates them until it is destroyed.

Worth a bonus roll?

You cannot roll this boss on its own. A dungeon roll is against the whole instance, so this table is one part of a pool that includes every other boss in Temple of Sethralissthe bonus roll guide explains what that changes, and the planner works it out per spec.
