Ziekket
The Blinding Vale · boss 4 of 4
Born from the Lightbloom's epicenter, Ziekket was spawned and incubated by Light-infested rutaani to create an unstoppable engine of the Lightbloom's expansion.
Nothing here dies the normal way. The lashers only stay down if his own beam catches them dormant, and his orbs only stop if somebody touches them first.
A fight where both of the boss's own abilities are your tools. Lightspawn Lashers cannot be killed — at 1% they submerge, immune, and come back stronger. Concentrated Lightbeam liquifies any dormant lasher it sweeps over, so the group's job is to line the beam up with the ones lying in the ground.
What actually kills you
Everything else is noise until these three are handled.
- Letting lashers reawaken. Vicious Regrowth gives them haste and damage and makes them immune to interrupts and crowd control — the second generation is a much harder fight than the first.
- Letting the essence reach him. Fluorescent Outburst is Holy damage on everybody plus a stacking absorb and damage increase for Ziekket.
- Nobody taking the orbs. Touching one bursts it and grants Lightbloom's Might — more damage and healing at the cost of a burn. That trade is the fight.
Your job
If you tank
- Position him so the beam sweeps across dormant lashers rather than empty ground. Where he is pointing is the mechanic.
- Thornspike impales and knocks you back with a bleed behind it. Expect to lose position at the worst moment.
If you heal
- Oozing Xylem is continuous, unavoidable damage on all five. It is the floor the rest of the fight sits on.
- Lightbloom's Might damages the player holding it and stacks. Someone taking three orbs is taking real damage for the group's benefit.
If you DPS
- Push lashers to dormant, then get them under the beam. Damage alone never finishes them.
- Intercept the essence globules. Each one that lands on him is a shield you then have to chew through.
- Take the buff and use it. Lightbloom's Might is a damage increase you are paying for in health either way.
How the fight goes
| Part | What to do |
|---|---|
| Step 1 | Awaken the Lightbloom sprouts Lightspawn Lashers and revives any dormant ones with Vicious Regrowth. |
| Step 2 | Concentrated Lightbeam sweeps the room. Dormant lashers caught in it are liquified for good, leaving Lightsap on the floor. |
| Step 3 | Lightbloom's Essence drifts toward Ziekket. Touch the orbs or he absorbs them and shields. |

Worth a bonus roll?
You cannot roll this boss on its own. A dungeon roll is against the whole instance, so this table is one part of a pool that includes every other boss in The Blinding Vale — the bonus roll guide explains what that changes, and the planner works it out per spec.
